About me

I am a qualified counselling psychologist and psychotherapist with over 20 years experience in clinical practice.

I completed my undergraduate and honours degrees in psychology at the Rand Afrikaans University (RAU) in Johannesburg, and obtained a master’s degree in counselling psychology following my clinical internship at the Institute for Child and Adult Guidance at RAU. I registered as a counselling psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa in 2003.

After moving to the UK, I completed the British Psychological Society’s Qualification in Counselling Psychology and achieved Chartered Status (CPsychol) in 2008.

I later undertook postgraduate training in gestalt psychotherapy at the Gestalt Centre London, completing a master’s degree at the London Metropolitan University in 2012, with training in both individual and group psychotherapy.

In 2023 I completed postgraduate training in peer-supported open dialogue, systemic practice, and relationship skills, and I continue to work with families and networks using this approach within the NHS.
