When things appear to be working, but don’t feel that way.

Relational, integrative psychotherapy for adults

Many of the people I work with appear to be managing on the surface. They may be functioning well in their work, relationships, or day-to-day life. From the outside, things can seem steady or even successful.

Internally, however, it can feel quite different. There may be a persistent sense of pressure, self-doubt, or unease—sometimes difficult to explain, and often carried quietly.

You may recognise something of yourself in this:

  • Persistent self-doubt or second-guessing

  • Difficulty feeling settled or satisfied

  • A sense of responsibility for others, or for holding things together

  • A gap between how things look on the outside and how they feel on the inside

  • Feeling stuck in patterns that are hard to shift

These experiences are more common than they appear, and can remain hidden for a long time.

This is not a lack of strength or capability.

Often, these patterns have developed for understandable reasons, and may have helped you manage, cope, or get through difficult periods.

Over time, however, they can begin to feel restrictive, exhausting, or no longer quite right.

Long-term psychotherapy offers a space to understand these patterns more fully, and to begin relating to yourself in a different way.

This is not a quick process, but it can be a meaningful one.
