When things appear to be working, but don’t feel that way.

Psychotherapy for high-functioning professionals

Many of the people I work with are capable, responsible, and relied upon by others. From the outside, things often appear to be working well. Internally, however, there is often a persistent sense of pressure, self-doubt or unease.

You may recognise something of yourself in this:

  • Persistent self-doubt despite evident competence

  • Difficulty feeling satisfied with what you achieve

  • A sense of responsibility for holding things together for others

  • A tension between how you appear publicly and how you feel privately

These experiences are often managed quietly, and can remain hidden for a long time.

This is not a lack of ability or strength.

Often, these patterns have developed for good reasons, and have supported you in getting where you are.

But over time, they can begin to feel limiting or costly to maintain.

Long-term psychotherapy offers a space to understand these patterns more fully and to begin relating to yourself differently.

This is not a quick process, but it can be a meaningful one.

If you are considering psychotherapy and would like to explore whether this work may be appropriate for you, do get in touch.
